The biggest event on the calendar of the Australian professional beauty industry is almost here! More details have come to light on what visitors can expect on 24 and 25 August in Sydney, with top-tier education and innovations from leading brands paving the way for an incredible 2019 edition of Beauty Expo Australia.
Beauty Expo have released their stage education program for 2019, detailing 46 sessions across the Makeup & Grooming Stage and Anti-Ageing Stage which are free for all Beauty Expo visitors to attend. A fantastic line-up of iconic local and international educators are set to bring their renowned tips, techniques and styles to share with the industry’s eager professionals, on topics including makeup trends, lashes, brow henna, waxing, cosmetic tattooing, nutrition, skin needling, noninvasive treatments, cosmetic acupuncture, business, and many more.
Anticipated highlights of the Makeup & Grooming Stage include the ‘Create the Perfect Pout!’ session led by notable French makeup artist and celebrated educator, Charlotte Ravet. Charlotte will share the secrets and techniques she has developed for creating sharp, crisp and vibrant lips with the perfect shape, which she notes is often a challenge for makeup artists.
The natural beauty industry is positively booming in the current eco-conscious landscape, but how can we be sure the products we’re using are truly natural? Tony Rechtman will explore the key criteria to look out for in this widely unregulated market and will demonstrate how pioneer brand INIKA Organic dispels the myth that natural cosmetics don’t perform.
Beauty Expo visitors can also look forward to Martha Mok’s techniques for creating wow-factor eyelashes that look natural yet high-impact at her ‘Mastering the Art of Eyelash Layering’ session on the Makeup & Grooming Stage.
The Anti-Ageing Stage will welcome highly-anticipated key learnings from Murad Education Manager, Katy Bacon, as she demonstrates the benefits of adaptogens which are emerging as 2020’s hottest skincare trend.
More than ever before, clients want the results of cosmetic injectables, without the down-time. Sydney College of Hair & Beauty will discuss the innovative new devices for cosmetic treatments that eliminate pain, swelling and bruising, in their ‘The Benefit of Injection Free Fillers’ session, which is anticipated to be a fascinating insight in to the developing beauty landscape.
Also in line with emerging beauty treatments is Paola Troisi from BellDonLaqua Istituto, who will be sharing ‘The Do’s and Don’ts of Skin Needling.’ With skin needling currently surging in the industry, the importance of technicians ensuring they learn the safe guidelines of administering this effective treatment couldn’t be higher.
The Anti-Ageing Stage will also host prominent skin practitioner and educator, Sarah Hudson, who will share her insights on a topic that is often deprioritised but is extremely important, in her ‘Are you a role model for your clients? The importance of looking after yourself’ session. Sarah notes that beauty professionals give themselves to their clients every day, and must look after themselves in order to be a source of inspiration for their clients.

More hands-on, in-depth education is available through paid education tickets including the Business Pass, Professional Skills Pass, Anti-Ageing / Dermal Pass, hands-on workshops, and the all-inclusive Beauty Super Pass.
