First big ‘real-life’ industry event since Covid-19 lockdown is a roaring success
Leading industry suppliers, Venus Concept and EnVogue, welcomed the kings and queens of Australia’s aesthetic jungle to a day full of education and inspiration at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo on Saturday.
The two companies held the ROAR Conference, the first big industry event since Covid-19 restrictions hit Australia in March, to help clinic owners:
Reignite their vision
Open new opportunities
Accelerate their cashflow
Reach new clients
Event coordinator Nicole Montgomery said Venus Concept and EnVogue created the event to ensure their clients’ businesses do “more than just survive in these unprecedented times”.
“We chose to hold the conference at Taronga as it was the perfect setting to remind us all that it is not the strongest nor most intelligent of the species that survive but “the one that is best adaptable to change”
We then brought together some of the most trusted and innovative leaders in the industry to share their valuable insights on the challenges currently facing us and ways to overcome them so we can thrive.”The conference’s impressive line-up during the day included presentations by:
Dr Steven Liew
Professor Laurence J Walsh
Dr Madisen Harper
Dr Sonia Batra
Dr Michael Zacharia
It also featured two panel discussions:
Complex Cases and Covid-19: moderator Dr Madison Harper and panellists Dr Steven Liew, Dr Michael Zacharia, Dr Peter Ryan and Dr Nick Davies
The Future of Aesthetic Businesses: moderator Jeremy Carter and panellists Dr Lisa Friederich, Vita Cantanzarati, Alex Pike and Sia Hendry
After the full day of learning and thought-provoking discussions as well as Covid-safe catchups with colleagues over coffee and lunch at the Taronga Institute of Science & Learning, the guests changed into their jungle-inspired evening wear and headed to the Zoo’s glamorous Dalang Ballroom for a night of fine food and wine – and more long-overdue (but always Covid-safe) socialising.
After being warmly welcomed by Venus Concept national sales manager Gidon Silverman from Melbourne via Zoom and then in ‘real-life’ by EnVogue director Ian Carroll, guests kept entertained by zookeeper Hayden Turner and Front and Centre Training Solutions director Grazina Fechner for the remainder of the night.
Yet, despite the non-stop food, wine, entertainment and conversation inside the ballroom, the breathtaking views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge outside were a highlight – with many heading out to the balcony ‘to capture the perfect Sydney ‘selfie’.
ROAR was the first big real-life aesthetics industry event since March for many of the guests.
Undoubtedly many were exhausted after the long day and night, but they would all consider it a roaring success as they left inspired and ready to lead the pack into a bigger and better 2021.
