LIFT – BUTTOCKS

Buttocks lift is also known as a gluteoplasty or “butt lift”, a buttocks lift drastically improves excess fat and skin that is caused by ageing. The procedure involves removing fat and skin with liposuction and surgical excision.

A buttocks lift is suitable for patients who have loose and sagging skin in the buttocks area, extra fat in the buttocks region, lack self- confidence due self-consciousness about their buttocks or patients whose excess fat and skin makes them feel uncomfortable.

The procedure is conducted under anaesthesia, as a day surgery procedure. Generally, patients are able to return home following the procedure. The surgeon will make an incision or multiple incisions at the top of the buttocks, in the hips, groin, or under the buttocks cheeks. The surgeon pulls the skin taut and trims an excess skin. The incisions are closed, the skin is sutured so the skin remains tight.

Following the surgery the recovery may take a minimum of two weeks to resume regular daily duties. The patient will be instructed how to sit and sleep to minimise pain and assist with the recovery. Bruising and swelling is to be expected and will gradually fade over the weeks after the surgery. Pain medication may be required especially within the frst forty-eight hours.

The results from a buttocks lift are long lasting.
