Dr Hunt’s full title is Dr Jeremy A. Hunt MBBS FRACS. It takes six to 10 years to earn those two acronyms at the end of your name – in Dr Hunt’s case, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine degree from Sydney University in 1990 (the MB part), followed by further study for his Bachelor of Surgery (BS) and yet more study to attain his status as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (yep, FRACS) and member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgery. Still not satisfied, Dr Hunt went on to hone his skills even further by completing a Fellowship at the prestigious University of Texas in the United States, where he learnt from some of the world’s very best plastic surgeons. That is something that makes Dr Hunt truly unique among his peers.
Dr Hunt is refreshingly honest with his patients. He’s there to leave you as happy and confident as possible – not to sell you the snake oil of unattainable results or procedures you just don’t need.
He knows that by the time you sit in his office, you have spent hours researching your desired procedure on Google and YouTube, but still have questions and want your surgeon’s expert guidance on the solution that is best for you. So, Dr Hunt treats you like the intelligent, informed adult that you are, whilst giving you the personal, one on one service and attention that you deserve.
You’d be hard pressed to find a patient or peer who didn’t agree that Dr Hunt is a great guy. A family man with three beautiful young daughters (and one on the way!), you only need to watch the footage of him on television shows such as Embarrassing Bodies, Saving Kids and Body Works to see how friendly and approchable Dr Hunt is.
Dr Hunt is also a good guy – he gives back to the community via his work at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, and volunteers with Interplast, performing pro bono surgery on people in need in developing nations including the Dominican Republic, Belize and countries of South East Asia.
